In the endless steppe of Northern Dagestan, the desert grows each year, swallowing villages and lives. Gulphira, a strong woman leading a small team, fights the advancing sands, planting thin shrubs in the dry soil to stop the desert’s march. But when war comes, the winds of time test her strength in new ways. A deeply human story about love, loss, and the courage to stand “against the wind.”
